01How it works

From wire transfer to self-custody in three steps.

No exchange queues, no OTC desks, no opaque pricing. A clean, auditable path from bank rails to on-chain dollars.

01

Open & verify

Create an individual or business account and complete verification. Your legal name is recorded as the reference for incoming funding.

Identity verification
02

Fund with dollars

Receive a dedicated US bank account in your name. Deposit via ACH, wire, or RTP — deposits are matched against your verified identity before they touch your balance.

ACH · Wire · RTP
03

Convert & withdraw

Convert USD to USDC at a live rate with the fee shown up front, then withdraw to your own wallet.

Self-custody by default

03Compliance & security

Controls, records, and rails.

Banking runs on licensed rails. Transactions run through structured controls and recorded decisions.

◈

Funding controls

Deposits are matched to the account holder's verified name before they reach your balance. Third-party funding is held for review and typically returned.

▤

Traceable records

Conversions, withdrawals, and review decisions are written to an append-only log with multi-year retention. Records can't be edited.

⛨

Licensed rails

Banking, money transmission, and identity verification are provided by licensed partners. WireWharf is not a bank.

✓

Step-up verification

Two-factor authentication, re-verification for sensitive actions, and identity collection on qualifying withdrawals.

Deposit matching Review queues Multi-year records
04For developers

API-first, provider-abstracted.

1

Payments as an abstraction layer

The platform's payment layer is a clean interface — banking rails are pluggable providers behind it. Integrations are engineering tasks, not rewrites.

2

Webhooks with receipts

Every provider event arrives signed, idempotent, and reconciled — with dead-letter handling and audit persistence. No silent drops.

3

Double-entry ledger

Balances are projections of an append-only ledger. Every dollar in, out, and converted has matching entries — reconciliation is a property, not a chore.

05Questions

Frequently asked.

Is WireWharf a bank or an exchange?

Neither. WireWharf is a technology platform: banking, money transmission, and identity verification run on licensed, regulated infrastructure partners. Your funds stay inside that licensed perimeter at all times — WireWharf never takes custody of them itself.

Who can open an account?

Individuals and businesses. Individual accounts require government-ID verification; business accounts add beneficial-owner declaration and an expected-activity review. Both are completed online, and funding unlocks after verification.

Can I deposit from any bank account?

No — and this protects you. Deposits must come from an account in your own verified name. Payments made on your behalf by someone else are held for review and typically returned to the sender.

What does conversion cost?

A single, transparent fee shown before you commit — the rate you see on the quote is the rate that executes. Network fees on withdrawals are estimated at request time and settled at actual cost.

Where do my USDC go?

To a wallet you control. Withdrawals go to self-custody addresses you register and verify — WireWharf holds no withdrawal addresses of its own on your behalf, and new addresses are subject to a security hold before first use.

Which jurisdictions do you serve?

WireWharf serves customers in supported jurisdictions, screened at signup. Availability of specific funding rails and features can vary by region — contact us for your market.

How is my data protected?

Sensitive documents are processed by licensed verification providers — WireWharf stores verification outcomes, not document originals. Operational data lives behind session-based authentication with two-factor support, and every access-relevant action is written to an append-only audit log.
